Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu meet in the 3rd/4th play-off at 1:00pm today before the winner-takes-all final at 4:00pm between Fiji and hosts New Zealand from Owen Delany Park. The winner of the final will earn the right to represent Oceania in the Men’s Football Tournament at the 2012 London Olympics.
Fans from all over the world can tune in to watch both matches via http://ofctv.e-cast.co.nz for $3 NZD.
The nominal fee is due to broadcast exclusivity rights for the finals day as OFC TV will also broadcast the matches live via satellite for television stations across the region.
Through OFC’s new partnership with international media agency MP & Silva, the matches have been offered to broadcasters across the Pacific with the likes of VBTC in Vanuatu, Telikom TV in Solomon Islands, Fiji’s Mai TV and Digicel Tonga all securing the rights for the tournament. The rights have also been taken by countries further afield in Asia.
