Taputimu Youth is going for back-to-back President’s Cup titles after claiming last year’s championship while SKBC are hoping for a double after winning the 2013 National League.
SKBC finished five points clear in Pool A over No. 2 Utulei Youth, completing a clean record of six wins out of six games.
In Pool B Taputimu Youth was six points clear of its next competitor, Black Roses, finishing the group stage with five wins and a draw out of six games.
These two teams met during a 2013 National League clash with SKBC coming out on top 3-1 on September 25.
This match is expected to be a tough one with a host of great players from both sides.
Taputimu has stalwart defender and leader Sonny Filiva’a holding things in the back while the facilitating the attack in the midfield are Pepa Meredith and Pan Kaleopa.
For SKBC, they have one of the best strikers on the island in Gun Kang and he will be a handful for Filiva’a and his fellow defenders. A great complement to Kang’s game is Ryan Pa’aga, making it a double headache for Taptutimu to defend against.
The game is set to kick off at 11:00, with the promotion/relegation match between Black Roses and Vaiala Tongan to feature ahead of the President’s Cup final.
