“We have travelled a long distance to get here so we want to do the best we can,” says captain Abdulla Budhaish.
With a break in their domestic season alllowing them to take part in this competition, Budhaish believes his side is ready for the challenge it poses.
“We have some members of our team who are currently with the national team, but we have players that weren’t chosen this time with us here – our goalkeeper, one defender and two strikers,” he says.
“For sure we will be strong.”
Budhaish says the competition is a chance for the team to prove themselves.
But while they know their own strengths, they aren’t so confident when it comes to their opponents.
We don’t have much information about the other teams but I’m sure we will try and do a good job.”
