Ahead of the tournament, which will be held in Tahiti from 6-14 February, Khan says he is looking for players who can perform in various positions on the court.
“We will be looking at the combinations of the players and we want utility players who are versatile,” he says.
“They need to have good skills and we will also assess their first touch.”
The OFC Futsal Championship offers direct qualification to the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Columbia for the winner.
Khan says his eventual 20-member squad will have a lot to prove and will need more than just ability on the court.
“We will be looking at number of things in the players before we select the best team for Fiji,” he adds.
“Commitment and dedication along with the attitude of the players will be looked at.
“We also want to see that only the best are selected from the huge squad which we have been trimming down.”
The squad goes into camp on Friday at the Fiji Football Association academy in Vatuwaqa.
