The second phase of the FIFA Goal Project at the Football Academy of Teouma (Vanuatu) is underway and should finish towards the end of September.

With this second phase, VFF will set up its Elite program and the preparation of the U-17 national squad.

The work done by the Traverso company, includes a cloakroom, studios for coaches and a medical room.

The academy is likely to be fully operational by December with some light touches completed in October and November such as the kitchen, a laundry room and the equipment of the dormitory.

According to VFF, the academy will accommodate approximately 36 young footballers in February 2009, for the program of Elite called Goal Football. 

Some of the young academy players will follow a standard educational program while those that have left school will follow remedial courses thanks to the partnership of the Ministry of Education. 

VFF will also create partnerships with the companies of Port Vila, for those who do not succeed in football, they will have a professional future within the companies of the country.
