The matches are part of each side’s preparations for the upcoming Pacific Games, set to take place in New Caledonia during August and September.
The friendly games will be played in Honiara in the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu’s Port Vila and will be timed to coincide with the respective independence days of both countries.
The games in Honiara will take place on July 7 and 9 while the return matches in Port Vila will be held on July 27 and 30.
Natonga’s men will also head to Fiji for matches on July 13 and 15 as they look to fine-tune their Pacific Games preparations and hope to find a winning formula to take to New Caledonia.
The Vanuatu squad began training last month under the watchful eyes of Natonga and John, who have a squad packed full of talent at their disposal.
Amicale O-League heroes Fenedy Masauvakalo, Young Paul, Sese Selwyn Ala and Dereck Malas have all been included in the line-up while several players who starred for Vanuatu at the OFC U-20 Championship in New Zealand during April – namely Lucien Hinge, Brian Kaltack, Jean Kaltack and Eddison Stephen – are also involved.
