Mexico’s Club America stand between Auckland City and a dream date with European champions Barcelona. Auckland have drawn the Concacaf (North, Central American and Caribbean) champions in the quarterfinals (essentially the first round) of December’s FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. The winner of the December 11 clash in Tokyo will then meet Barcelona – who boast two-time world player of the year Ronaldinho – in a December 14 semifinal in Yokohama.
