The defending champions were given the bye in week one and two goals in as many minutes from Yallop midway through the first half showed Auckland weren’t keen to waste any more time in their Northern Conference opener.
A fine solo goal from Brittany Dudley-Smith pulled a goal back for the teenagers in the 66th minute but from the kickoff Auckland surged forward and earned a corner which Kristy Hill nodded home to restore the two goal cushion.
Dana Humby fired a fourth in from long-range in the 75th before Yallop completed her hat trick five minutes later.
Auckland weren’t finished there as Rebecca Tegg got in on the action as the clock ticked down before setting up Yallop for her fourth in injury time.
Meanwhile in the Southern conference, Capital Football got their campaign underway with a 2-0 win over Mainland Pride thanks to a goal in each half from Sarah Gregorius.
Gregorius’ day didn’t happily, leaving the field with a knee injury late in the second half with her side also losing Football Fern Hannah Wall and age-group international Yumi Nguyen in an injury-plague second half.
The Pride still lead the Southern standings on goal difference thanks to a heavy win over Football South last weekend, but Capital can leapfrog them next week by avoiding defeat in Dunedin next Sunday.
Auckland are also on the road, travelling to Taupo to take on Waikato-BOP Football on Saturday.
