Hekari came from 1-0 down midway in the first half to score four consecutive goals against Besta PNG United at the Institute of Public Administration Oval on Saturday.
The Keapara man substituted Nicholas Muri and made his presence felt with his first touch setting up a goal before cashing in himself off a Tutsizama Tanito cross.
The reigning champions where made to work hard by a young fire-up Besta side led by Tommy Sammy, John Ray, Peter Yang and Papalau Awele.
Besta under the watchful eyes of coach and assisted by national coach Wynton Rufer, they put Hekari under much pressure which resulted in their opening goal.
Besta striker Awele scored after a mix-up between defenders Koriak Upaiga and Taniela Waqa. Awele siezed on the confusion to belt one past goalkeeper Leslie Kalai for the opening goal.
Hekari levelled the scores through a spot kick by Niel Hans after Muri was fouled by a Besta defender in the box.
The goal lifted the home side who continued their raid before Tanito extend the lead 2-1 and then later collected his second from a spot kick after Muri was brought down in the box for a 3-1 lead before Jack’s winner to seal the result 4-1.
At Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium in Lae, the Gigira Laitepo sponsored Morobe United came from behind to force a 1-1 draw in the first match while sister team Lae FC asserted themselves against Oro beating the visitors 3-1 in the main game.
