This season they are already leading the Telikom National Soccer league ladder.
The club formerly known as PRK Souths United joined the National soccer League in the 2005/2006 season for the first time and the name eventually changed to be known as MRDC Hekari United.
With their great performances throughout the season, they represented PNG in the Champion League matches with six appearances, competing with other pacific island football playing nations which they came 2nd place in Pool B in 2009.
In, 2010 the club sat on the top of the Pool, and qualified as O-League champions in which they represented the Oceania Region to the 7th FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi in 2010 and went down by 3- 0 to Al Whada in the quarter play- off.
Led by striker Kema Jack and PNG’s top midfielder David Muta including imports from Fiji, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands, the team has become a solid side in the semi-professional competition. Head coach Jerry Allen’s contributions to the club performances have shown great improvements to the club’s success.
The team has been undefeated right through this season of the Telikom National Soccer League.
