During his meeting with Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) president David Chung, Shaikh Salman said the AFC is always keen to establish links of cooperation with the confederations in an attempt to accomplish the aspired development at the
continental level.
Shaikh Salman noted the role of Chung in leading the OFC, in addition to his active contributions in enriching FIFA as a Vice-President and wished him progress all over the two continents.
On his part, Chung expressed eagerness to continue the communication between both the AFC and OFC to achieve the aspirations for the advancement of the game.
Also during the meeting, both parties reviewed the development programmes offered by AFC and OFC, as well as the mechanisms for exchanging expertise between the two confederations.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Salman will set up a meeting with presidents and representatives of the Central Asian Football Federations.
The meeting comes within the framework of communication policy pursued by the AFC President with national federations in various regions of the continent to find out their needs and discuss ways to enhance cooperation with them to achieve the desired
goals of Asian football.
This meeting will be attended by representatives of football federations of Iran, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, who arrived in Manama yesterday.
