Oceania Football Confederation officials Norbert Hauata of Tahiti and Mark Rule of New Zealand have been appointed roles at the final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in UAE.
Hauata, a bricklayer by trade, is one of Oceania’s most experienced match officials and will be the fourth official for the final while Mark Rule is listed as an additional assistant referee.
The Tahitian was fourth official for the quarter-final between Argentina and Côte d’Ivoire and also the semi-final between Sweden and Nigeria.
He also refereed the match between Japan and Tunisia, Croatia and Panama, where Rule and Tonga’s Tevita Makasini joined him as assistant referees.
Another OFC official, Kader Zitouni, of Tahiti, was fourth official for the group match between Honduras and Brazil.
The match between Mexico and Nigeria at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi is scheduled for November 8 will be officiated by Scottish referee Craig Thomson.
L’arbitre tahitien Norbert Hauata ainsi que l’arbitre assistant néo-zelandais Mark Rule ont été nommés dans le corps arbitral qui officiera lors de la finale de la Coupe du Monde des moins de 17 ans de la FIFA aux Emirats Arabes Unis.
Hauata, maçon de profession, est l’un des arbitres les plus experimentés en Océanie et officiera en tant que quatrième arbitre. Il sera accompagné de Mark Rule, designé pour être arbitre assistant de remplacement.
Le tahitien était déjà quatrième arbitre lors du quart de finale entre l’Argentine et la Côte d’Ivoire ainsi que la demi-finale entre le Nigéria et la Suède.
Norbert Hauata a arbitré, lors de cette Coupe du Monde, les rencontres Japon-Tunisie et Croatie-Panama ou il fut assisté de Mark Rule et du tongien Tevita Makasini.
Un autre arbitre OFC a fait ses marques lors de ce tournoi. Le tahitien Kader Zitouni était quatrième arbitre lors de la rencontre Honduras-Brésil.
La finale de la Coupe du Monde des moins de 17 ans entre le Mexique et le Nigéria se jouera le 8 novembre et sera arbitré par l’écossais Craig Thomson.
