Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) has rescheculed New Zealand’s 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Fiji.

The All Whites (New Zealand) will now face Fiji at the Toleafoa JS Blatter Football Fields, in Apia, Samoa on Monday, June 23, 2008.

Originally the fixture was scheduled to be played in Auckland on October 13, 2007 at Mt Smart Stadium. FIFA postponed the match after Fijian goalkeeper Simone Tasmanisau was
denied an entry visa into New Zealand because of a relatives military connections which conflicted with New Zealand government regulations.

New Zealand leads the Oceania qualifying series for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ after winning three from three in 2007, including a 2-0 win over Fiji in Lautoka on
October 17.

Ricki Herbert’s side will also face second-placed New Caledonia on September 6 (away) and 10 (home) this year with the winner of the Oceania championship automatically qualifying for the 2009
FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa.

The Oceania champion then meets Asia’s fifth-ranked qualifier home and away in June-July 2009 for a place at the 2010 World Cup.
