They are now on their way to the final against Northern Region champion Siaraga FC.
Nalkutan FC just need a draw to go through to the final and Tafea needs a win over Nalkutan but the boys from South have done it for the first time in football history in Vanuatu to become the champion of Southern Region.
Both teams have few great chances to score but all their hardworks comes out to nothing. Tafea striker Francois Sakama had the golden opportunity to upt his team ahead but denied by Nalkutan FC young keeper Iapson.
Nalkutan FC will get all the headlines, of course, but it is goalkeeper Iapson who should be receiving all the praise in the wake of his exploits Satruday afternoon at Port Vila Stadium.
Iapson made several exceptional saves in the two halfs to deny a rampant Tafea attack, and Nalkutan went on to win the Southern Region TVL Cup in front of 4,000 at Port Vila Stadium.
In the Northern Region, Siaraga FC of Luganville Football draw with Police Fc of Malampa FC 0-0 to become the Northern Region Champion and booked their place in the VFF TVL final this Friday 30 September 2011 at Port Vila Stadium.
