Fiji Football Association vice president and national team director Taranesh Reddy says they U-20 side has a number of overseas commitments in November that will keep them occupied.
The side, which created history as the first Fijian team to qualify for a FIFA World Cup event, will travel to Australia before departing for New Zealand where they will take part in the OFC President’s Cup.
“The team will tour Australia from 2-12 November and then travel to New Zealand for the President’s Cup,” Reddy says.
“This should be a very good competition for us as we prepare for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
“Looking at the busy schedule we have decided that the players will not be released to their districts after the IDC due to these November commitments and the tour we are planning to the USA.”
Fiji was the first team to qualify for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and join hosts New Zealand in representing the Oceania region.
