The match kicks off
3′ The game has begun in even fashion with both sides seeing plenty of the ball
6′ Waitakere striker Gwyther pounces on a sloppy back pass but fails to make the most of the opportunity
8′ Naxue breaks down the right and gets into a good position but fires his cross straight at Waitakere goalkeeper Andy Ralph
10′ Waitakere have a great chance to go in front when Pearce is released down the right and goes one-on-one with Magenta goalkeeper Dounezeck but shoots straight into his arms from a tight angle
12′ It’s a perfect day of glorious sunshine in Auckland and the pitch is in superb condition so the sides have no excuse for not producing good football
14′ Naxue again makes ground on the right and wins a corner for Magenta
15′ Del Monte heads the ball clear for Waitakere and it breaks to De Vries who plays out to Pearce. The former All White is fouled and Waitakere have a free kick near halfway
16′ The free kick comes to nothing and Magenta and able to string a couple of passes together on the left before the ball goes out for a Waitakere throw in
17′ Sole whips in a corner for Waitakere but it is put behind again by the Magenta defence. Sole can’t make the most of his second opportunity to cross and fails to beat the first defender
18′ Magenta break forward down the left from the corner through Gorendiawe but Waitakere are awarded a free kick in their box
22′ The first quarter of the match has been an even affair so far and both sides are struggling to carve out clear-cut chances
24′ Play is held up while Magenta goalkeeper Dounezeck goes down with an injury
25′ The custodian appears okay and play continues with his goalkick
26′ Magenta captain Sinedo gives Dounezeck a lofted back pass which proves too difficult to control and goes out for a corner
27′ Pearce’s shot early on remains to only real chance of the game and there is not much goalmouth action for the fans to cheer at the moment
29′ GOAL!!! Magenta 1, Waitakere 0: The first goal arrives when Emblen brings the tricky Naxue down in the box and Longue steps up to slot the penalty home. Robinson gets a foot to the shot but can’t prevent it going in
32′ GOAL!!! Waitakere 1, Magenta 1: The home side are behind for only a matter of seconds as De Vries takes advantage of some hesistant defending the chip the ball over the advancing Dounezeck and into the net
35′ Gope-Fenepej makes room for a shot for Magenta with some sharp footwork but his long range strike goes well over the bar
38′ Gwyther breaks for Waitakere but a good tackle from Magenta sweeper Forest stops his progress
39′ Magenta have enjoyed the better of the latter stages of this half and are stroking the ball around nicely
41′ Pearce heads a Magenta corner away and it falls straight to Gorendiawe outside the box but his volley goes straight up into the air and out for a goalkick
43′ Del Monte gets himself into a good position on the right hand side of the box for Waitakere but his attempt to find a team mate is blocked and Magenta break forward themselves
44′ Magenta’s Gope-Fenepej is injured and play is held up while he receives treatment
45′ Gope-Fenepej hobbles off the field to receive further treatment and play resumes

46′ Waitakere very nearly take the lead when De Vries crosses from the left for Del Monte, whose side-foot volley bounces off the inside of the far post
48′ Gope-Fenepej is set up for a shot on the edge of the box after some neat Magenta interplay but he snatches at his shot and it goes well over the bar
50′ Gwyther has a good opportunity for Waitakere when he runs onto a Del Monte through ball on the right but blazes his shot narrowly over
51′ Lolohea almost scores for Magenta from close range but Robinson spreads himself well and makes a good save with his right boot
58′ Gwyther makes progress down the right for Waitakere but is crowded out by the Magenta defence and the ball goes out for a goal kick
59′ Scott almost has an embarassing moment for Waitakere when he heads a Magenta cross just past the post of his own goal
61′ Waitakere have a free kick in a good position on the right but Sole floats the ball straight to Dounezeck
62′ SUBSTITUTION: Del Monte is replaced by Rory Turner for Waitakere
65′ YELLOW CARD: Pelter is cautioned for Waitakere
65′ Magenta have the ball in the net from the free kick when Gope-Fenepej nods home on the line after the ball bounces off the bar but the goal is ruled out for offside

69′ Lolohea hits a good free kick on target for Magenta but Robinson makes a fairly comfortable save

71′ Naxue cuts in from the right for Magenta and tries to curl the ball inside Robinson’s far post but does not get his angles quite right and Robsinon gathers
72′ Pearce goes on a rare raid down the right for Waitakere and looks to cross for substitutute Turner but Dounezeck comes out to pick the ball up easily
74′ Captain Sinedo is injured for Magenta and play is held up while he receives treatment
75′ Play resumes and Waitakere should be ahead when De Vries does well in the box and squares the ball for Turner but he scuffs his shot wide of the far post
76′ Naxue gets into a good position on the right for Magenta but he blasts his shot well wide from a tight angle when crossing to a team mate would probably have been a better option
77′ Waitakere nearly go in front again when Turner becomes provider this time for De Vries, who goes one-on-one with Dounezeck but fails to finish
79′ Magenta have had the better of much of this second half but it is actually Waitakere that have carved out the superior chances
83′ Good work from Turner on the right results in De Vries getting the chance to run at the Magenta defence and he takes up the invitation but can’t beat Dounezeck with his shot from the edge of the area
84′ SUBSTITUTION: De Vries is replaced by Dakota Lucas for Waitakere
88′ GOAL!!! Waitakere 2, Magenta 1: The home side goes ahead when Gwyther breaks down the left and squares for Pearce to tap home into an open goal
