The Olympique Women’s soccer team has clinched victory in the Southern Provincial Championships after defeating AS Paita 2-1 in the final in New Caledonia over the weekend.

Olympique will meet the winner of the Northern Provinical championships next week for the chance to compete at the territorial championships.

Olympique won the tournament organized by the FCF after beating AS WET 2-0 in the semi final, then overcoming tournament favourite AS Paita 2-1 in the final.

The tournament was played at the technical centre in Paita and was carried out over two weeks.

Olympique and FCF Paita were the standout performers throughout the tournament and thoroughly deserved their spot in the competitions final.
