The Vodafone National Football Men’s team can’t wait to face their Pacific rivals Vanuatu and Tahiti in their upcoming FIFA International friendlies in Vanuatu.

Head coach Christophe Gamel has named a 20-member squad to battle the hosts and their French Polynesian opponents.

During the team announcement ceremony, Gamel reminded the boys about their challenge ahead.

He said this tour is also a buildup to the Pacific Games in Samoa in July.

“It will not be easy,” Gamel said.

“Both Tahiti and Vanuatu are also preparing for the Pacific Games and since these are FIFA sanctioned matches, these games will be contributing towards our rankings.

“So we have a huge task ahead of us and my message to you all is play with pride,” the coach added.

In the Tri-Nations series, the Bula Boys will face Tahiti (Thursday) 6 June before  taking on Vanuatu (Monday) 10  June.
