The past four years have been building up to this moment – the final hurdle in Oceania’s path to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

With New Zealand on the brink of qualifying for the nation’s third appearance at this global event, I would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best.

The All Whites side has shown great commitment to the hunt to return to the world stage and should they succeed in beating Peru away in Lima, will take the enviable record of being unbeaten in qualifying with them to Russia next year.

Let us hope that is the case.

No matter what the outcome, tomorrow we will witness history in the making and my hope is that it will be in the favour of our Oceania champions.

To the All Whites and New Zealand Football, on behalf of the OFC Executive Committee I wish you the best of luck.

May you approach this game with the determination, attitude and character which has served you so well thus far, and take to the field knowing that all of Oceania is behind you.

Here as One,

David Chung
