The first round of matches in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Qualifiers – OFC Stage 3 have been confirmed with the Group B encounter between Tahiti and Solomon Islands kicking things off on 7 November in Papeete.

Solomon Islands home match, the return leg, will be played at the iconic Lawson Tama Stadium, host of the 2012 OFC Nations Cup, where the Bonitos will welcome Tahiti on Sunday 13 November.

The first game in Group A has OFC Nations Cup champions New Zealand welcoming New Caledonia to QBE Stadium in Auckland on Saturday 12 November before the return leg sees them travel to the north of New Caledonia where they will play at Stade Yoshida in Koné.

Solomon Islands and New Caledonia will prepare for their upcoming encounters with two friendly matches in Honiara next month. New Zealand will also be making the most of the FIFA International Window in October with two big matches against Mexico and USA lined up.

Both Fiji and Papua New Guinea will re-join the action in Round 2 of Stage 3 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Qualifiers, after sitting out this first round with byes.
