The full list of teams joining Oceania representatives New Caledonia and New Zealand at the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 has been confirmed after Africa four qualifying nations were determined at the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.

Ghana’s two wins in Group A of the competition assured them a first or second standing in the group to continue to the semi-final and book their tickets to India. In the last match of Group A on Saturday, Guinea secured a goalless draw with Ghana, earning a place next to their opponents at India 2017.

Defending African champions Mali claimed the top spot in Group B after cruising to a 6-1 victory over Angola on Sunday. The result confirmed the Eagles would make their fifth appearance at a U-17 World Cup after previous trips to the global finals in 1997, 1999, 2001, and 2015.

By joining Ghana, Guinea, and Mali in booking their tickets for India in October, Niger made history by qualifying for a first-ever FIFA tournament after defeating Tanzania 1-0 to finish second in Group B, above the Tanzanians thanks to a superior goal differential.

The fates of New Zealand, New Caledonia and the other 22 contenders will be determined at the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 draw, which will be held in Mumbai on 7 July.
