The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) are sad to report the passing of Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Property and Facility Manager, Reuben Oimae.
Reuben passed away on Sunday, 17 May 2026 in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Reuben had served the Solomon Islands Football Federation and the Pacific region for more than fifteen years as turf manager until his passing.
He had also assisted with several facilities within the region including stadiums in Papua New Guinea and Samoa, as well as Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
Much-loved by all, the Solomon Islands Football Federation has lost its best turf and facility manager and one of the most experienced turf experts in the region.
Reuben was a humble, kind, gentle, understanding, honest and very helpful individual who will leave a legacy which will be remembered and treasured deeply in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
RIP Reuben Oimae.
