Fijian trio score doubles in second-half effort 

Fiji will meet Vanuatu in the OFC Futsal Cup 2022 plate final tomorrow after a win against Tonga, with Rajneel Singh, Surjason Sami and Navneet Chand netting two goals each.

Fiji got off to a slow start conceding one goal to finish 2-1 at half time, but once Fiji found their groove in the second half they were able to dominate with six goals ending with Chand scoring back-to-back to end.

Ramsan Khan received Player of the Match honours.

New Zealand is the first team through to the OFC Futsal Cup 2022 final after beating New Caledonia in a thrilling match at the Vodafone Arena.

The first half was an arm wrestle until the 15th minute when Futsal All White Sean McIntee forced an error from the New Caledonia goalkeeper to give his side a 1-0 lead at the break. Goals to Jordan Ditfort, Ethan Martin, Hamish Grey were enough to seal the win.

Emmanuel Hmaen was the only scorer for New Caledonia, while Rahan Ali received Player of the Match.

The Kurukuru impress huge crowd with FP5 win 

The Solomon Islands will meet New Zealand in the OFC Futsal Cup 2022 final after a stunning 5-1 win over the Fiji Football Associations President’s Five (FP5) in front of local fans at Vodafone Arena.

The atmosphere was electric from kick-off and it was the Kurukuru who opened the scoring via Eddie Kasute’e and Arnold Maeluma. FP5’s Kavinesh Lal netted a goal giving hope to Fijian fans at half time, 2-1.

But the Solomon Islands came out in the second half remembering why they entered the tournament, to progress to the final, and slotted three goals to finish the job. Elis Mana picked up Player of the Match honours.
