We are seeking a committed and proactive Medical Coordinator (Club Competitions) to support the delivery of OFC club competitions and strengthen medical standards, player welfare, and safety practices across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued development of football competitions across the Pacific, including supporting the implementation of the OFC Professional League.
About The Role
The OFC Medical Coordinator (Club Competitions) will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of players, officials, and staff involved in OFC club competitions.
Working closely with the OFC Education & High-Performance Department, Competitions team, Member Associations, clubs, and medical stakeholders, this role will support the implementation of medical governance frameworks, competition medical operations, and capacity-building initiatives across the region.
This contractor role offers flexibility and will involve regular regional travel to support competitions and events.
Key responsibilities include:
• To coordinate medical operations for the OFC Pro League including match-day requirements.
• Develop and implement competition medical plans, emergency response procedures, and health protocols.
• Support Member Associations, who are hosting OFC Competitions, to meet OFC medical standards and competition requirements.
• Provide guidance on player welfare, injury management, concussion protocols, and medical risk management.
• Monitor medical incidents, injury trends, and health risks, providing reports and recommendations.
• Support doping control activities in collaboration with OFC and relevant anti-doping organisations.
• Deliver education and guidance to club and Member Association medical personnel.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of OFC medical processes and alignment with international standards.

About You
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced medical coordinator who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in competition environments.
This role does not require medical qualifications. The focus is on coordinating medical professionals and supporting the delivery of competition medical operations.
You will have:
• Experience coordinating medical operations, events, programmes, or stakeholder relationships.
• Experience developing and implementing operational plans, protocols, and procedures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with clubs, Member Associations, medical professionals, and operational teams. • Ability to work independently across different locations and manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
• Flexibility to travel internationally and work irregular hours, including weekends when required.
Desirable Experience
• Experience within football competitions or international sporting environments.
• Knowledge of FIFA medical requirements and football competition regulations.
• Experience with concussion management, emergency response planning, and athlete health monitoring.
• Experience working across multicultural environments, particularly within the Pacific region.
• Experience delivering education or capacity-building programmes.
