Tahiti’s hopes of a place in the final four of the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup continue after defeating hosts UAE 7-3 in Dubai overnight.

The star of the show was Patrick Tepa, scoring a hat-trick to earn the Polynesians a comfortable win.

The Tiki Toa were given the upper hand in the first period when UAE’s Abbas Daryaei received a straight red card.

Tahiti are equal with Brazil in Group A with six points, but the South Americans lead on goal difference.

The two sides will face off in their last group stage match at 6:45pm on 3 November (local time). With two wins apiece, both nations have qualified for the semi-finals with tomorrow’s group finale determining who they will play in the play-offs.
