The match kicks off
1′ New Caledonia captain Christelle Wahnawe gets in behind the Papua New Guinea defence but is flagged offside
2′ Madeleine Jaine tries to break into the box for New Caledonia but Agai Max comes across to defend well
6′ Celine Xolawawa tries to get on the end of a New Caledonia long ball but goalkeeper Fidelma Watpore comes out to reach it first
8′ Deslyne Siniu has the best chance so far for Papua New Guinea when she controls a weak goalkick from keeper Beatrice Toluafe and volleys over the bar
10′ Wahnawe snatches at a chance just outside the Papua New Guinea box and can’t make a clean connection
13′ Toluafe has problems dealing with a high ball in the area and has to be helped out by the New Caledonia defenders
16′ Wahnawe hits an effort on target from the right hand side of the box but is under pressure and can’t get enough power to beat Watpore
17′ Linah Honeakii curls an effort at the New Caledonia goal from well out and it goes straight into the arms of Toluafe
18′ The dangerous Wahnawe breaks down the right and crosses for strike partner Xolawawa, whose header goes straight up and is comfortably gathered by Watpore
21′ Wahnawe again creates a chance for Xolawawa when she controls on the edge of the box and Xolawawa nips in to shoot at Watpore, who pulls off a good save low to her right
23′ Goalkeeper Toluafe does well to claim a high Papua New Guinea cross under pressure
26′ Wahnawe has a golden opportunity to open the scoring when she is played in behind the Papua New Guinea defence but Watpore sticks out a firm hand to block her shot

30′ Xolawawa shoots from distance for New Caledonia but the effort is ambitious and hardly troubles Watpore
32′ Watpore comes out to meet the ball ahead of Xolawawa
