VFF has been running a Development Centre competition over the past few months in the Vanuatu capital of Port Vila with the culmination of the event arriving in tomorrow’s final.
Last week’s semi-finals were close affairs which saw Black Sand Development beat Amicale DC 2-1 to set up a final against fellow victors Erakor DC after they downed Central School 2-0.
Tournament coordinator Philemon John says the improvements seen in the young players over the course of the event has been encouraging.
“I have to take my hat off to how these Development Centre teams have progressed in the last few months,” John says.
“I thank all the Development Centre teachers and volunteers for the great job they have been doing and I am looking forward to
the next competition.”
The Development Centre Competition final between Black Sand Development and Erakor DC will be held at Amicale Field in Port Vila with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. The play-off for third place between Central School DC and Amicale DC kicks off at 2pm.
