The old-stagers AS Magenta have moved to the top of the New Caledonia Super Ligue after a 2-0 win over AS Thio Sport at Stade Pentacosta at the
weekend. Magenta were too strong for a Thio Sport team now languishing in 7th place yet to record a single win.

In the match of the weekend, AS Mont Dore and JS Baco fought out a rugged 0-0 draw at Stade Numa Daly, meaning both clubs stay within touching
distance of Magenta.

The biggest movers in the Super Ligue were FC Gaitcha after they defeated winless ACB Poya 2-1 at Stade Pomemie. Gaitcha moved into fourth place just one point adrift of
AS Mont Dore and JS Baco and will be eyeing their next fixture against JS Baco as crucial to their Super Ligue aspirations.

AS Lossi’s season finally got off the ground after a convincing 3-0 win over AS Temala. Super Ligue’s newboys lost their first two matches of the season to AS Magenta
and JS Baco but will view this victory over Temala as the perfect platform to launch their title hopes.

In the race for Super Ligue’s golden boot, AS Mont Dore’s Patrick Diaike leads the way with 3 goals alongside JS Baco’s Gregory Wabealo (3), AS Temala Ouelisse’s Gael
Oudoy (3).

In Senior women’s Northern competition the season is two weeks old and SC Ponerihouen and CMO La Foa lead the way with two wins from two. Southern Zone is headed by FCF
Paita and Olympique, both clubs with 100% winning records from two matches.
