Tuiloma first joined the club’s academy in 2013 following the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, the newest contract sees him commit to three further years with the club, but no longer as a youth player.
“I’m really happy to have signed with OM and I’m really happy to be here. It’s great for me to be engaged for the next three years, I’m proud and I’m very grateful,” Tuiloma says.
“This for sure is a different step for me. I’m really happy and I’m ready to work for OM. The ambition is obviously to be in the starting eleven and with the first team for the important games.”
Tuiloma says a professional contract with a world renowned club like Olympique de Marseille is a big deal for him and for folks back home in New Zealand.
“It shows people in New Zealand that anything is possible. To be the first New Zealander to play in Ligue 1, and in one of the biggest clubs in France, is unreal.”
Olympique de Marseille will continue their pre-season preparations throughout July before they get the 2015/16 Ligue 1 season underway against Caen on Saturday 8 August.
