An international match official since 2008, 33-year-old Vulivuli refereed at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, while she has also been involved in four FIFA age-group women’s tournaments.
Vulivuli will be joined by three referees and five assistant referees, who will officiate over the games at Tonga’s Loto-Tonga Soka Centre from 1-10 October.
Each of the referees selected, Salesh Chand, Amos Anio, George Time and Vulivuli have been involved in the OFC Champions League, with Vulivuli leading the way in terms of international experience.
Assistant referee Wanting Yagum is another with history on the world stage, having been selected to officiate at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan three years ago.
Four of the OFC Member Associations will be represented, with match officials from Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand all attending.
The 10-day competition will follow a round robin based on a league format. There will be two matches played per match day, with one side sitting it out with a bye.
The competition offers direct entry to the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea for the winners.
