The 58-year-old is migrating to Australia and will step down from his roles in January.
On offering his resignation, he was quick to wish Fiji FA well for the future and give his backing to the new administration to excel under the leadership of recently-appointed president Rajesh Patel.
Segran says he is sad to be leaving and is proud to have been involved with the association.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of the Fiji FA family,” he says.
“My roles as the referees director and academy manager over the years have been challenging. I wish to thank the board of control for the assistance and support they have given me throughout my stay.
“In particular I wish to put on record the assistance and advice given to me by current president Rajesh Patel since he joined Fiji FA in 2005. We were constantly in touch on matters pertaining to football and the running of the academy.
“The chief executive officer Bob Kumar will be remembered and cherished throughout my life. His teachings will never be forgotten and I thank him.
“The academy staff are wholeheartedly thanked for their support in looking after Fiji FA’s first national academy and Govind Park. Without their support my efforts would have been futile.”
Segran joined the Fiji FA in March 2000 as a referees director based at the association’s Suva headquarters but tranferred to Ba in 2003 to manage the national academy and director of referees office.
Some of the referees he helped train are Finau Vulivuli, Ravinesh Kumar, Andrew Achari, Rakesh Chandra, Phool Singh and Salesh Chand, who have all progressed to FIFA level.
