Nadi FC utility player Amani Makoe Valebalavu has also signed with the Red Rosters alongside his compatriots Vakatalesau and Esava Naqaleca.
Leong said the three Fijians will join the club’s Vanuatu-based players to prepare for the Melanesian Super Cup which kicks off next month in Port Vila.
The signings are also made as Amicale prepare for the inaugural OFC President’s Cup in November.
“I am sure the new Fijian players will bring some experience to our current young squad now training hard at Amicale Field before the TVL Opening Cup kicks off next weekend,” Leong says.
“This year Amicale will have a young team but we have the Melanesian Super Cup and OFC President’s Cup to help us prepare before the OFC Champions League in April next year.
“We want to use our local players and a few overseas players for these two competitions,” Leong concludes.
Vakatalesau was part of the Ba side that was bundled out of the OFC Champions League by Amicale at the semi-final stage last season.
The towering Fijian frontman has played in one OFC Champions League final when Ba lost on away goals to Waitakere United in 2007 at Mount Smart Stadium.
He also has experience with foreign clubs Hekari United and YoungHeart Manawatu.
Amicale are the only non-New Zealand club side to appear in two OFC Champions League finals, losing to Auckland City FC in 2009 and 2014.
The OFC President’s Cup is scheduled for 17-23 November and will be held at Trusts Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.
The tournament features Auckland City FC, Amicale, Fiji U-20, Singapore U-23, Bodden Town of the Cayman Islands and one other yet to be confirmed side.
