The three futsal internationals were filmed by OFC TV at ASB Stadium in Kohimarama and consolidated into a 30-minute magazine-style show.
The highlights package follows on from Sky TV’s successful broadcast of the ASB Futsal National League series earlier this year.
New Zealand Football’s futsal development manager Dave Payne says the coverage will help attract even more players to a game that is beginning to take off in centres around New Zealand.
“TV is a wonderful shop window to showcase the sport and I’m sure the highlights will grab the interest of viewers who haven’t been exposed to the sport before,” Payne says.
“The fast pace of futsal and the indoor setting make it an ideal spectator sport and the action from the ASB Trans Tasman Cup was really entertaining.”
