The eight finalists have been split into two pools, with the top two sides from each advancing to the semi-finals.
Pool A is made up of 4R Electric FC, Namaka FC, FC City United and defending champions Civic FC. Pool B consists of Lokia United FC, Nakasi Lions FC, Bureta FC and Chelsea FC.
Fiji Football Association competitions manager Amitesh Pal expects some high-quality football to be played in the finals, based on the form of the teams in the play-offs.
“The teams have come better prepared compared to last year and the standard has gone up to another level,” Pal says.
“The preliminary competition last weekend was very successful and all of the teams displayed a great style of football.
“It will be very interesting to see the western teams and southern teams battle against each other once again.”
The NCC is contested by the top teams from all of the Fiji FA districts. The finals will be played this weekend at Govind Park in Ba.
