To support and further enhance the range of existing development services the FIFA Development Office seeks to appoint a suitably qualified person to implement and manage the FIFA CONNECT – IT program in all Oceania Football Confederation member associations.
POSITION and JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
Tasks
-Evaluation of IT state (basic hardware/software infrastructure) of a FIFA Member Association according to standard evaluation procedures
-Run requirements workshops based on standard methodology defined in FIFA Connect Program
-Reporting on IT status and proposal of actions according development needs and our development strategy
-Support us implementation of the identified actions and FIFA Connect products
-Follow up on implementation until project handover and go live
Business Planning
-Develop, coordinate and implement a work plan on recommendations from the FIFA Development Officer
-Provide reports, papers and advice to the FIFA Development Officer/FIFA
Organisational Management
-Ensure thorough and accurate records are maintained of all correspondence;
-Ensure all tasks are responded to within agreed timeframes;
-Respond to all email correspondence as soon as possible.
-Establish a time schedule that is approved by the FIFA DO /FIFA for implementing duties.
Leadership and Management
-Provide leadership to OFC Member Associations to ensure that the agreed pilot projects are monitored effectively through to implementation phase.
Operational Accountability
-Maintain a precise record of all purchases made, including receipts and approval documents;
-Provide monthly activities and financial reports to the FIFA DO/FIFA
-Efficient management of the approved FIFA Connect program budget.
Relationship Management
-Develop productive and persuasive relationships with Member associations, stakeholders and OFC staff and Executive to ensure that the working group pilot projects are effectively coordinated and communicated.
-Promote best practice workplace behaviours by modelling the values and purpose of FIFA DO and OFC.
General
-Be proactive in all aspects of the role, by thinking and planning ahead, to provide the best possible service;
-Involvement in event planning, ad-hoc tournaments, and functions where required;
-Active contribution is made to activities associated with the enhancement of team performance and the achievement of departmental, team or organisational goals;
-Close collaboration and cooperation between all team members is maintained;
-Any other related tasks and duties requested/assigned by the FIFA DO/FIFA
Professional Development
-Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
-Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
-Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
-Prior experience in the sport industry and good understanding of football/sport in the Oceania Region
-Very good understanding of IT operations (theory and practice)
-Able to see the big picture and what is needed to make it work
-Excellent communication skills, experience to communicate with all management levels in an association
-Motivated/Interested in development work, experience a plus
-Positive and professional attitude, hands on, open, reliable team-worker
-Independent (meaning he/she cannot provide the solutions for the identified problems)
-Able to work in flexible assignments
-Strong Knowledge of the Pacific region
