In a seven-goal thriller at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Dortmund shook off an early setback and held on after a late Sundowns resurgence.

Jobe Bellingham scored his first goal for the club, helping Dortmund secure a win 4–3 and tboost their chances of qualifying for the knockout rounds.

Inter Milan came from behind with two late goals securing a dramatic win over Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds.

The Italian giants conceded early to Ryoma Watanabe, with Lautaro Martínez equalising in the 78th minute via a bicycle kick, and Valentin Carboni delivering a stoppage-time winner to clinch a dramatic 2–1 victory. The result lifts Inter to second in Group E behind River Plate while Urawa are eliminated.

Brazilian side Fluminense also scored two late goals to see off the challenge of Ulsan HD and go to the top of Group F.  Trailing 2-1 at the break, goals from Nonato, Freytes and Keno, in injury time, completed the win which eliminates the South Korean side from playoff contention.

The final match off the day saw Argentina’s River Plate and Mexico’s Monterrey battle out a goalless draw which keeps both sides in playoff contention in Group E. Monterrey must beat Urawa Diamonds in their final Group match and will qualify if there is a result in the match between River Plate and Inter.
