The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is pleased to confirm the match schedule for Round One of the Road to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ in Brazil, following the release of the latest FIFA Coca-Cola Women’s World Rankings.
The Official Draw for Round Two of the qualifiers has also been confirmed, and will take place at 3pm (NZT) on Friday August 15.
Round One will be hosted in Avarua, Rarotonga (Cook Islands) on November 28 and December 1, 2025, featuring the four lowest-ranked Oceania teams: Tonga (107), Tahiti (119), Cook Islands (122), American Samoa (153).
The fixtures will see Tonga face American Samoa and Tahiti play the Cook Islands, with the winners progressing to a final qualifying match for a place in Round Two of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ Oceania Qualifiers.
Next week’s official draw for Round Two will see the following teams drawn into two groups of four:
New Zealand (33), Papua New Guinea (61), Solomon Islands (73), up 13 places after their OFC Women’s Nations Cup win, Fiji (78), Samoa (86), Vanuatu (100), the biggest mover in the region, up 19 places, New Caledonia (101), and the Round One winner.
Round Two matches (Match Days 3, 4 & 5) will be played during the FIFA international window 24 February-7 March 2026, with host countries to be confirmed.
Round 3 (semi-finals and final) will be hosted in New Zealand during the FIFA international window (April 7-18 2026). The top two teams from each group in Round Two will advance to the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals (Match Day 6) will meet in the final (Match Day 7), where a direct place at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ in Brazil is at stake.
The runner-up will earn a second chance to qualify through the FIFA Intercontinental Playoff Tournament.
