Eight teams will learn their opponents for the group stages of the OFC Futsal Cup 2022 development tournament with the draw confirmed for Monday, September 5.
The draw will take place at 1.00pm NZT at the OFC Home of Football, conducted by OFC Competitions Director Chris Kemp and assisted by Head of Football Development Paul Toohey.
The seeding of the draw will be based on the final ranking of the teams from the OFC Futsal Nations Cup 2019.
The rankings are from 1-6, the Solomon Islands, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, followed by Samoa and Fiji Invitational who are unranked as they didn’t participate in 2019.
Third-placed Tahiti was also excluded from the rankings as they will not be participating in the 2022 competition.
Teams will be drawn into two groups; Group A and B.
The draw will be conducted so that each group will compose of no more than one of the unranked teams, two of the ranked teams between 4-7 and 1-2, and no more than one of the teams representing Fiji.
