The OFC Futsal Men’s Cup 2025 took place in Suva, Fiji, featuring five teams – New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji and Tuvalu, who returned to the competition after 14 years. The matches were played at Vodafone Arena in a round-robin format, with the champions decided on points.

The competition began with a blockbuster clash, as New Zealand met Solomon Islands in the opening fixture. In a contest worthy of a final, the Kurukuru edged the Futsal Whites 2-1 to claim the first win of the week. Fiji then delivered their own drama, coming from behind to beat the Vanuatu Gideons 5-4 in front of home fans.

Day two saw New Zealand respond strongly, putting six past Tuvalu in a 6-1 victory. Captain Dylan Manickum and En Watanabe both scored twice, while Tuvalu celebrated their first goal in 14 years through Aloesi Nukualofa. Later that day, Solomon Islands continued their charge with a 5-2 win over Fiji.

The action stayed tight as Vanuatu frustrated Solomon Islands in a 1-1 draw, before Fiji bounced back to beat Tuvalu 4-1. Tuvalu pushed Vanuatu all the way in their next game, falling narrowly 3-2, while New Zealand stayed in the title hunt by dismantling Fiji 10-3.

The final match day had everything on the line. New Zealand defeated Vanuatu 3-1, keeping alive hopes of snatching the crown. Their fate however, depended on Tuvalu upsetting Solomon Islands. The Kurukuru were in no mood for a slip-up, sweeping Tuvalu aside 7-0 to secure the title as Oceania’s best.

Alongside lifting the trophy, Solomon Islands collected a string of awards. Alvin Hou was named Golden Ball winner, while goalkeeper Cliff Sasau claimed the Golden Glove. New Zealand’s En Watanabe earned the Golden Boot and both Solomon Islands and Tuvalu were recognised with the Fair Play Award.
