Two New Zealand match officials will represent OFC at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™ in North America.

Campbell-Kirk Kawana-Waugh has been selected as one of 52 referees for the tournament, whilst Isaac Trevis is one of 88 assistant referees. The pair are the only match officials from OFC appointed for the global finals.

They also recently featured together as part of the match official team for the OFC Pro League final, an historic moment for professional football in Oceania. Kawana-Waugh was the man in the middle, whilst Trevis was one of his assistants.

Both have been established leading match officials in the region for some time. Kawana-Waugh was also the only referee from OFC appointed to officiate at FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ last year, and has also featured at the FIFA U-20 World Cup™ in 2023 and at the FIFA Arab Cup™ in 2025.

Meanwhile, Trevis was the sole representative from New Zealand on the A-League Men’s referee panel during the recently completed season, and also officiated at the FIFA Arab Cup last year.

As well as the OFC Pro League final, the duo have worked together in the same match official team on the international stage before, at a Men’s Olympic Football Tournament match at the Parc des Princes in 2024 between Israel and Mali.

Now in 2026, the pair will represent OFC’s match officials again, on the highest stage.
