Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Responsibility Portfolio Manager to lead initiatives aimed at creating an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future for the region.
The successful candidate will drive activities to ensure football leaves no one behind, empowering marginalised groups, and promoting peace, gender equality, and disability inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage initiatives under the ‘An Inclusive Oceania’ pillar, ensuring alignment with the broader Power of Football strategy.
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure the impact of social responsibility programs.
- Lead research and data analysis related to disability inclusion, gender equality, and sport for development to ensure evidence-based project design.
- Manage project budgets and adhere to OFC finance reporting systems.
- Track the progress of initiatives and ensure effective implementation.
- Develop and maintain effective reporting systems to communicate project progress to key stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams including the Football Division, Operations, and Member Associations to ensure the effective co-design, implementation, and impact of initiatives.
- Engage with external partners, networks, and stakeholders to expand resources and opportunities for social responsibility programs.
- Oversee partnerships, grant proposals, and advocacy campaigns to influence knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors around key social issues.
- Support the development of regional campaigns to promote gender equality, prevent gender-based violence, and enhance disability inclusion in football.
- Collaborate on the creation of educational and promotional resources for both internal and external distribution.
- Ensure that initiatives are visible and celebrated across OFC communications platforms.
Core Competencies:
- Proven track record of managing social responsibility and development projects, from design to execution.
- Skilled in designing and implementing frameworks to assess project impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and present project findings.
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team.
Qualifications:
- A degree or post-graduate qualification in sport management, development, or social sciences and/or at least 5 years of hands-on experience in project management, ideally in sport for development or social initiatives in the Pacific region.
- Experience working with diverse partners, including NGOs, governmental bodies, and sports organizations.
- A strong understanding of the Pacific region, with experience working in culturally diverse environments and promoting inclusive practices.
Other Requirements:
- Fluent in English (French is a plus but not essential).
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
- Current passport with the ability to travel within the Oceania region
- Must pass a New Zealand Ministry of Justice criminal check
