We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Media Operations Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality media services across OFC tournaments and events, including the upcoming OFC Professional League in January 2026.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, this is an exciting opportunity to shape how football is experienced, seen, and shared across Oceania and the globe.

About The Role
This is a hands-on, event-focused role within OFC’s Commercial & Communications team. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of media operations for OFC competitions and events, ensuring world-class servicing of press, photographers, and broadcasters. From accreditation to mixed zones, press conferences to media tribunes, you will lead all aspects of media logistics on-site and behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of media operations at all OFC competitions and events.
  • Manage press facilities, mixed zones, accreditation systems, and technical setups to international standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for media on-site, supporting press, photographers, broadcasters, and team media officers.
  • Recruit, train, and manage event media officers, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate with local organising committees, venues, and internal departments to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Media & Communications team on content delivery and storytelling at events.
  • Oversee media manuals, handbooks, and post-event reporting.
  • Ensure all operations meet OFC communication, brand, and commercial requirements.
  • Stay current on global best practices in media operations and digital delivery.

About You
You are a confident, calm, and highly organised media professional with experience delivering media services at sports events. You thrive in fast-paced environments and know how to create a high-performance experience for media personnel under pressure. You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in media operations, sport event delivery, or press coordination
  • Demonstrated experience managing accreditation, press areas, and mixed zones
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing staff, contractors, or volunteers
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and media operations tools
  • A clear understanding of international media expectations and workflows
  • Cultural awareness, especially across the Pacific region
  • A relevant qualification in communications, media, or a related field (desirable)
  • Flexibility to travel internationally and work irregular hours during events
  • Ability to pass criminal record and credit checks
  • Fluency in English (French a plus but not essential)
