Heavy rain has forced a change of venue for Group D of the OFC Champions League 2020 that gets underway in Tahiti on Sunday (TAH time).

The first match day of Group D will be played at Stade Pater after Stade Mahina was deemed not suitable for use by the Oceania Football Confederation in conjunction with the Local Organising Committee.

OFC Competitions Director Chris Kemp:

“With the consistency of the downfall over the past 24 hours we have decided, due to the playing field conditions and in the interest of player safety, to move the opening match day to Stade Pater.

“We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and a decision will be made on the venue for the remaining match days in due course.”
