Women’s game on the rise in Oceania

Women’s football has seen massive growth in the Pacific recently and is showing no signs of slowing down.

New Zealand will co-host the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023 but that is only one part of how the women’s game is developing in our region.

More resources are being invested into women’s football with new competitions popping up that will provide greater playing opportunities for our athletes.

Many of our Member Associations have appointed Women’s Football Development Officers this year who will take the women’s game forward in the coming years.

OFC Media caught up with some key figures in women’s football from across Oceania; watch the video above to see what they believe the future holds.
