44′ – Three minutes of extra time to be added on the end of the first half.

45′ – Halftime – New Zealand have had the majority of the possession in the first half but will be dissapointed they were unable to convert any of their chances. Fiji have rarely threatened the New Zealand goal and will need their two strikers – Roy Krishna and Osea Vakatalesau to work closer together in the second half if they are to have any joy breaking down this New Zealand defence.

46′Substitution for Fiji 17. Malakai KEINAHEWE is replaced by 13. Jone VINO

48′ – Fiji have taken the game to New Zealand more in the opening period of the second half and look like they have more urgency.

59′ – RED CARD – New Zealand goalkeeper Glen Moss is shown a straight red card for apparent dissent. There was a challenge by Osea Vakatalesau on James Pritchett and when the ball was finally cleared out of play, Moss went straight to referee Lencie Fred to have words. Fred told him to get away – Moss didn’t and was shown a straight red.

59′ – Substitution for New Zealand – Greg Draper is replaced by Jacob Spoonley

63- GOAL – ROY KRISHNA – Fiji take the lead through Roy Krishna. Good finish as he ran into the box and shot low and hard to the keepers right. The first thing subsitute Spoonley did was pick the ball out of the net. Krishna won the ball and drove into the box with determination and power – good goal.

68′ – Substitution for New Zealand – Kris Bright replaces Costa Barbarouses.

77′ – Leo Bertos freekick finds Chris Bright who powers his header over the bar.

77′ – Substitution for Fiji – Osea Vakatalesau replaced by Tuimasi Manuca.

78′ – Match is poised on a knife edge, New Zealand are starting to come back at Fiji.

79′ – New Zealand have sacrificed a player in defence to chase the game. They now line up in a 3-4-2 formation. Krishna is causing the backline problems with his pace.

90′ – GOAL ROY KRISHNA – Krishna makes it two for Fiji after some good work down the wing by Jone Vono. Krishna recieved the cross, took a clever touch around Steven Old and rifled the ball home from six yards out to seal the win for Fiji.

90′ – New Zealand have struggle to deal with Krishnas pace all evening and the Fijian star has made them pay with two fine goals. Three additional minutes to be played.

FINAL SCORE – 2-0 FIJI – A great night for Fijian Football as 10-man New Zealand are beaten by two sublime Roy Krishna strikes.
