Both roles require motivation, flexibility, the ability to adapt and relate to different cultures and the ability to travel.
Other qualities such as team spirit and the ability to cooperate, communicate and motivate are also required.
The ideal candidates will have experience in developing and promoting women’s football/futsal and beach soccer and experience as a player, coach or trainer. They must also have experience in technical project management for women’s football/futsal and beach soccer and in training coaches.
Knowledge and practice of foreign languages, particularly French, would also be useful but is not essential.
Each Development Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for women’s football/futsal and beach soccer in conjunction with the Technical Director and will monitor, control and participate in the development of women’s football/futsal and beach soccer.
They will also organise courses, seminars or technical symposiums and actively promote women’s football/futsal and beach soccer throughout OFC’s member associations, as well as coordinating the development of women’s football/futsal and beach soccer with the various OFC departments, FIFA Goal Office and other partners.
OFC is the umbrella organisation of the national football associations within Oceania. Located in Auckland, New Zealand, OFC has 11 member associations which it supports financially and logistically through various programmes.
OFC is the smallest of the world’s six confederations but is an active participant within the FIFA football family. Along with AFC in Asia, CAF in Africa, CONCACAF in North/Central America and the Caribbean, CONMEBOL in South America and UEFA in Europe, OFC works to provide support to football’s international governing body.
