The Oceania football fans will be allowed to follow on screen all the international FIFA competitions. Click Pacific Limited was awarded sole TV rights to FIFA TV content between December 2013 and July 2014.
Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) General Secretary Tai Nicholas is delighted that the football supporters across the region will have a chance to follow all FIFA international tournaments including the FIFA World Cup in Brazil next June.
‘’OFC is pleased that Click Pacific has been awarded the rights for the Pacific,’’ Nicholas says.
‘’The experience of Richard Broadbridge with the 2010 FIFA World Cup will ensure that as many people in the Pacific will be able to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup and other FIFA events,’’ adds Nicholas.
Click Pacific Limited Managing Director Richard Broadbridge was involved with the broadcasting of the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 across the region and he is very delighted by this agreement.
‘’We are delighted that after a thorough tender process we are awarded these rights,’’ Broadbridge says.
‘’Our role will be to ensure these events get maximum mileage and that the broadcasters as well as the viewers benefit from being part of this great content,’’ adds Broadbridge.
New Zealand are two matches away to represent the Oceania confederation in Brazil and will benefit the support of the fans across the region throughout their campaign.
The All Whites will play the fourth placed team in the CONCACAF FIFA World Cup qualification group in a two-legged playoff in November. The second leg will be played in Wellington on 20 November.
