They beat Yatel 3-0 last Saturday at Port Vila Stadium.
Player maker Ronaldo Wilkins 10 years old was the star of the final and overall tournament, who has helped his team beat Yatel in the final and finish off the tournament in style.
New VFF technical advisor Christian Chosson and a group of VFF Academy coaches were in the stands to witness the final and must now decide the next career move of a group who look destined for much bigger things.
VFF competition manager Robert Calvo said the tournament was a success one and the teams participate have been exceptional.
“The main idea behind this tournament is to help the coaches who have passed their OFC D License certificate and today I can see that everyone tried their best to help their team win but I must congratulate everyone for participating in the competition.”
“You can see today the future of Vanuatu football.” Kids just love to play football and I challenge you all coaches to help Port Vila Football and VFF to train kids who love to play soccer and i am sure one day we can see the result of our hard work.” said Calvo.
During the presentation many young footballers received soccer boots because of their good performance from VFF and two players were vote the best are Ronaldo Wilkins from Quatier and Fenni Saul of Yatel FC.
Both players have spotted by a french coach in New Caledonia and he have decided to fly them to Noumea next year to study and play soccer.
This is the first time two young players Under 13 years old were selected by an independent soccer club overseas to play for their academy.
