Ba will join Suva, who confirmed their first National League title two weeks ago, in once again representing Fiji in Oceania’s premier club competition.
Changes in management and players have marred Ba’s domestic campaign throughout 2014 and the side, who have dominated the league in recent times, were forced to wait for the final match day to confirm their place in the Champions League.
A 2-1 victory to Lautoka last Thursday had kept Nadi in the hunt, though they needed the champions Suva to cause an upset over Ba in order to progress themselves.
The hallowed grounds of Govind Park played host to the side from the capital on Saturday with fortune favouring the home side.
A 2-2 draw proving enough to deny Nadi and ensure Ba would be joining Suva for the 2015 event, which will be hosted by Fiji for the second consecutive year.
The conclusion of the league also spelt good news for Tailevu Naitasiri who have been promoted to the Premier Division, while Navua have been relegated.
Fiji Football Association competitions manager Amitesh Pal says the 2014 season can again be deemed a successful one.
“The 2014 season was a very competitive and intense one. I would like to thank the sponsors for their continued support, as well as the participating districts,” Pal says.
“The new season, which should start in November, will see Tailevu Naitasiri in the top division and Navue in the bottom.
“Overall an exciting season is awaiting us.”
