Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid all emerged victorious on match day nine at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Juventus rolled to a dominant victory in Philadelphia, propelled by a Kenan Yildiz brace—his first goal coming via a deflected own-goal by Wydad’s Boutouil, followed by a brilliant strike of his own. Dušan Vlahović added a stoppage-time penalty to seal the 4–1 win. Although Thembinkosi Lorch pulled one back for Wydad with a clever first-half lob, Juventus maintained control and leapfrogged to the top of Group G with six points.

Real Madrid claimed their first win under Xabi Alonso despite being reduced to 10 men early, with Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler scoring late in the first half to build a 2–0 lead. Federico Valverde sealed the victory with a sliding volley in the 70th minute before Pachuca pulled one back late. Thibaut Courtois made several crucial saves to preserve the 3–1 result.

Salzburg and Al Hilal battled to a goalless draw in sweltering Washington, D.C., with both sides creating chances but failing to find the breakthrough. Goalkeepers Yassine Bounou and Christian Zawieschitzky were standout performers—Bounou registering five saves leaving both teams level on four points in Group H and everything to play for in the final round of matches.

Manchester City secured their spot in the knockout rounds with a commanding 6–0 win over UAE side Al Ain in Atlanta. İlkay Gündoğan opened the scoring with a cross-turned-shot, Claudio Etcheverri struck from a free kick, and Erling Haaland converted a VAR-awarded penalty before halftime. Gündoğan added his second in the 73rd minute, followed by goals from Oscar Bobb and Rayn Cherki—the latter marking his first for the club. City face Juventus on Friday in a top-of-the-table Group G showdown.
